Expansion Capabilities

Growing to meet the expanding needs of global commerce.

Today, the Port of Rosedale has grown to include a more than a 3.3-mile long channel with over a mile of turning basin, 168 acres of hydraulic fill for marine related industries, a general cargo dock, and dry-bulk unloading and loading docks. Two private docks are also located at the Port of Rosedale, as well as a major towing company on the Arkansas Navigation System.

Bolivar County has leveraged the Port’s location advantages to facilitate trade in other ways as well. The 270-acre Rosedale Industrial Park has been constructed on the landside of the Mississippi River levee system, offering prime sites with excellent infrastructure that includes hard surface road connections to the port.  Thanks to a ready and able workforce and a favorable industrial climate, the Port and the Rosedale Industrial Park have created over 1,700 direct and indirect jobs, with an estimated $60,000,000 investment from public and private interests.

Today at Port of Rosedale, even as we maintain our focus on service, we also stay abreast of news and trends. The Port Commission holds memberships in the Mississippi Water Resource Association, the Mississippi World Trade Center, the Inland Rivers, Ports, Terminals, Inc. and the National Waterways Conference.

We’re always looking for new and better ways to serve the needs of our customers and our community.
